「合鹿椀（ごうろくわん）」は奥能登の合鹿地区で遅くとも17世紀には作られていた椀で、大型で高台の高い堂々とした姿が特徴です。
今に伝わる古い合鹿椀は木の質感を残した素朴な仕上げが魅力ですが、こちらはその力強いフォルムをそのまま生かして、布着せ本堅地の輪島塗の製法で仕上げました。

"Goroku-Wan" were made in the 17th century at the latest in Okunoto, and are characterised by their large size and high base, imposing appearance.
The old "Goroku-Wan" handed down to the present have an attractive rustic finish that retains the texture of the wood, but this one has been finished in the Wajima-nuri specifications, with its strong form preserved.
