飯椀のことを”ご飯茶碗”と呼んだりするように、現代では焼きもののお碗でご飯を召し上がる方が多いかと思いますが、かつてはご飯も漆塗りの飯椀によそって食べるのが一般的でした。漆の深い黒、鮮やかな朱に白いご飯はとてもよく映え、お箸の当たりも柔らかでお米の美味しさを一段と引き立ててくれます。

当社の飯椀はやや小ぶりで持ちやすく、木と漆の柔らかい感触がしっとりと手に馴染みます。こちらは落ち着いて品のある端反型、深い漆黒と、鮮やかな本朱の2色です。

In the past, it was common to serve rice in a lacquered rice bowl, although today many people eat rice in a pottery, as rice bowls are called "rice bowls". The deep black and vivid vermilion colors of the lacquer look great with white rice, and the softness of the chopsticks enhances the taste of the rice even more.
Our rice bowls are rather small and easy to hold, and the soft feel of the wood and lacquer is soft and comfortable in the hand. The bowls come in two colors: a deep black and a vivid vermilion.
