豆は、健康で怠けず真面目に働く様子をあらわす「まめまめしい」という言葉から、健康と長寿、無病息災を願う吉祥文様とされています。ふっくらとした独特のかたちが可愛らしいそら豆を、シンプルに描いてみました。

In Japan, beans (mame) are a traditional symbol of health, longevity, and well-being, linked to the word “mame-mame-shii”(meaning diligent and healthy). This motif features a simple, lovely depiction of the broad bean's uniquely plump shape.
